Situated on the bank of Swartvlei Lake in the heart of South Africa’s Garden Route National Park, Bleshoener is a four bedroom private lakehouse encompassing panoramic views over the water and the Outeniqua mountains stretching beyond.
Swartvlei is just a 35 minute drive from George Airport and is centrally located to visit the many attractions of the Garden Route.
Set amidst an old pine plantation, the house is surrounded by indigenous gardens and enjoys a wide lake frontage. The grounds are walled and guests can enjoy a feeling of security and privacy in an idyllic setting.
The house has a pool and access to the water via a private jetty. The lake offers wonderful opportunities for water sports including fishing, wakeboarding, skiing and kite-surfing. The surrounding area has many beautiful hikes, mountain bike trails and beach walks as well as some of South Africa’s finest golf courses.
A haven for nature lovers as well as sports enthusiasts, the Garden Route owes its title to its great diversity of plant and animal species. Stretching from Mossel Bay to Storms River it is sandwiched between the Outeniqua Mountains and the Indian Ocean. Swartvlei, literally 'Black Lake', is the largest of a series of lakes found between Wilderness and Knysna and is home to Bleshoener.
